Alyssa Conquers Clothing – behind the scenes documentary coming Soon…
I was approached to carry out a bold and stylistic interpretation of The Day Of The Dead by independent fashion brand Conquer for their spring/summer catalogue.
The shoot featured leading artists in their own fields, such as actor and music artist, Riz MC, and band, The Book House Boys, with the engaging make up of industry expert Jemma Harwood.
The main aspects that were essential in terms of photographing the artists, were that they were to be photographed in a coffin, with items that were important to their creative process, and that they were to wear conquer clothing. It was pretty open as to how I was to interpret that.
Within the permitters of the day of the dead concept, I was to photograph these artists for the interior of the catalogue, as well as shooting the front and back cover, with a poster page in the center.
